Charlie Van Beeck, Jelle Verwer & Arnaud Hofmans, or respectively known as Swet, Yela & Hofmann are the residents behind Best Served Cold.
They have a fun and spontaneous friendship which is highly visible when they play together, whether it’s just the three of them during a living room spinning session or playing together at an event. These three upcoming diggers constantly spend their time evolving their taste in vinyl and it shows.
Being a graphic designer in the music industry for so long has exposed Swet to a spectrum of genres, which has only elevated his sense of identity. Swet’s music taste is at the essence influenced by deep and straightforward artists.
Yela developed a passion for electronic music from an early age and started collecting vinyl re-cords in his late teens. Having spending most of his years in Birmingham, Yela’s record selection often leans more towards a U.K. sound. He has a soft spot for defined raw baselines & breaks and is always on the hunt for that abstract detail to tease the ear.
Hofmann’s sense of FOMO has put him on attending everywhere. Ambiance and setting has be-come important factors in his presence, which translates into his record choices. He’s a sucker for feel good tunes, adding groovy and spacey vibes to the mix. Add a dash of 90s house and every-thing together brings a balanced journey which is organically formed behind the decks.
Being part of the different music families have provided them with platforms where they can share their love for music, giving them the confidence to start their own event concept: Best Served Cold.
