Open Call
We are envisioning five interiors for Doel’s houses. INKIJK asks designers and artists to fantasise about what could lay behind the metal plating currently blocking an inside view of what used to be Doel’s living rooms, garages and store fronts.
These five windows are strategically selected within Doel Festival’s perimeter, from Doel’s old bank building, the monumental Camerman House, to a store in the Pastorijstraat, a garage in the Koggestraat and a small window of a corner house across from Doel’s city hall.
Artists are asked to design one of five interiors. These can be any type of inside space, drawn as a painting, a 3D environment, … Let your imagination run wild.
Your design will be printed on paper, pasted onto the metal plating and will be visible and highlighted during Doel Festival on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Design files should be the size of the respective window, in pdf format at 150 dpi.
Afterwards, a documentary visual overview of INKIJK will remain on our website, including artist bio’s and concept notes.
